She's been bathed and groomed so she looks like a delightful floof of a wolf right now and not the fierce, murdering Judge she should be. Jacob would be furious.]

So I opened a bunch of the presents or whatever they were, outside in the crashed ship and PT got some good stuff.

Did uh.. Did anyone find something that seemed really meant for them? Maybe something a little fucked up?

Brands. Definitely brands. Jakobs Family have been producing guns for over three hundred years.

[Okay. Brands. Clearly that's something else and just a coincidence that she has a rifle by a brand called Jacob who's whole family is into firearms. That's all this is. Nothing more. Don't panic.]

What year are you from again?

[Because if it's three hundred years in the future from him he might actually start that panic.]

Oh, something like, 2900 years ish, depending on your galaxy. But it's a little hard to tell. Humanity covers six galaxies now.

... how many galaxies are there?

I used to think it was awesome that where I lived I could go out into the woods and see the arm of the galaxy up in the night sky. Would be even cooler if there were a whole bunch of them.

As many galaxies as you could count stars, probably. No one really knows. But the universe isn't small, it just expands forever as far as we have ever seen.

Life is as different in each planet as you'd expect too. Not that we have met many sentient alien species, but plenty of plant and animal life.

I wish I could see it. It sounds awesome.

That was the part I could never get enough of where I'm from. We called it 'Big Sky Country' because you had this uninterrupted view of the sky where it felt like you could see forever.

Makes you feel real small, but like you're a part of something bigger, you know?

I know that feeling. Maybe that's what makes us the same, you know? Despite the time and space from your galaxy to mine. Even as somewhere as horrible as the planet I come from, I looked up and felt the same when I looked at the stars.

Yeah. I think it's a universal feeling.

I don't really want to be here, but being in space is pretty awesome. Never imagined I'd ever go to a different planet. So there's that at least.

Oh really? I don't mind it, I find it pretty good here so far. Less cannibals than I am used to.

It's one of those little things that just make it better, you know?

Food. Shelter. Not being about to die every five seconds. It's been not too bad.

Other than being held here against my will, but even that... is not too much different than back home. So upgrade all around.

Something like that. I don't know what it says about me that this is actually a huge amount more free will than I've experienced in most of my life.

If only because he's not going to drink the syrup out of the bottle in front of someone else.]

How're the tequila sunrises treating you?

[ Angel smiles, tail flicking her contentment. There is a easy contentment there, she would never get tired of just talking to people in this way. Happy, honest, and herself. ]

Pretty good. Then again, my increased metabolism means I can knock them back for a while, so we'll see how I go.

Well the bot will keep them coming forever. I dunno how we haven't run out of tequila yet. Unless we have and I didn't notice but I'm sure someone would have trashed the place if that happened.

Just.. you know. I've been here almost a year and it keeps making the same thing constantly.

Probably because no one has taught them. Robots like these are like little kids. They don't know until you tell them how to do it.
