Rey adjusts the position of the device to reveal a three-legged cyclopean cat, sitting on a table at the bar, his spindly tail whipping happily back and forth while salivating some weird pale green drool out the corner of his mouth.]
"And this can't seem to get the memo. Can't seem to get rid of it, either."
[Maybe a part of her doesn't want to, but it is inconvenient.
[Lastly -- and she looks very uncomfortable saying this -- she adds:] "Some have asked what its name is. Ideas and information would be... appreciated."

lets say hypothetically that someone claims to know you
but the reason you dont recognize them
is because theyre from your future
and instead of the you you are now
they have met the next iteration of you

she just lives a mostly normal life on 21st century earth
with no memory of the life youre living now
or any of the lives before that

lets say that the person telling you this
is someone who met and befriended future you
and so paradoxically
you remind her of home
despite never having been there or heard of it
would it be okay for her to try and befriend present you too
