These badges — [ and he daintily picks one up. ] — will hide you from these, ah, "cameras". They work against infra-red, heat signatures, etc. I believe the only thing they may falter against are soul-forges or . . . quantum field generators, I believe is the more technical term.

You do have to meet me personally to pick these up as I would have to tweak them to your unique signature. But it would offer you privacy against most, if not all, devices.

In my vernacular, I call them illusions. To use more scientific-based language, it is a field that disrupts signals. And they should work on all, based on that understanding.

But you cannot transfer a badge onto a device. I will put the working in, but the working will not shift without my help.

Mm, good to know. Wasn't planning on making objects technologically invisible, but good to know. Cloaking devices where I'm from can have a-a shimmer to them, do these have any such effect or tell?

They shouldn't if they're disrupting signals. A proper illusion would have that effect when touched.
