[The video opens with a idyllic shot of horses grazing in a pasture with a barn in the background. Well idyllic if you discount the fact that they're clearly on the agriculture level of Beacon, one of the horses is glowing and the other is Branwen and that some of the other animals in the paddock are mutated deer. It's about as close to scenic as this place gets.]

Kieran and I have been working on getting a ranch going up here. Cho's been doing tests on the deer and they're good to eat so I'm gonna try and get a little herd going. But then over here...

[The camera pans to some cleared areas nearby with the smoothness of someone who has used their phone to film hundreds of Vine videos back home.]

I thought we could start some sort of farm? I've grown tomatoes before but I don't know anything about farming, I'm more the livestock sort. So if anyone wants to work on this, you're more than welcome.

Actually if anyone wants to help with any of this feel free. But don't try to pet the deer. They're not friendly.

And there's really no one around to take care of that shit? Not even the automatons?

[Granted she hasn't spent much interacting with the robots, but she gathered that that might be the case just based on her investigations throughout the lower levels the past few days. It still seems rather hard to believe that everyone's been left to their own devices in such a big place.

[And still no sign of the synthetic woman, IV. Rey isn't sure whether to be relieved or more paranoid that they might be lurking somewhere hidden while she had been unconscious.]

Well some of them are working, but I haven't seen any that look like gardeners. Someone with tech knowledge could probably reprogram them to do this, but until then I think we're on our own.

["Good," is all Rey can think -- the less dependant this place is on robots, the better. But that's neither here nor there at the moment.]

Better than sitting with our hands tied up our asses.

How big a farm are you planning? Need much help for it?

So we have about... 20 people I think? Maybe a little more? I think we'd need acreage to keep that many in food. I've got a few people who've done this before who are gonna come take a look and let me know how to maximize our space. It's big, but not hundreds of acres big.

But once we start it we'll need help. Unless you know how to automate this. Watering and weeding and harvesting and all of that.

Well, never tried farming. Would probably just get more shit killed than make anything grow. Don't eat much though, so that'll save on mouths to feed.

[She's seen the supplies and the like they already have here, but she's thinking of the long run -- of what they'll need to do in case those conveniences are no longer options. Always better to have a contingency plan. Don't get too complacent in one place.]

I think so. I haven't counted but there's not a lot of us.

This place looks like it was designed for hundreds so if we can get it going again we should be fine. It's the process of getting it there that'll suck.

Getting a whole city going with just a handful of people is easier said than done -- have you ever played one of those civilization-type games?

[Honestly, Rey hasn't played one, either, but she's seen her brother idly fudge around when he was bored and mistook her for being unresponsive. That man had the patience of a saint, it's a wonder he struggled with his faith after a while.]

Guess it's a start, at least. How long have things been like this? Doesn't seem like many people been here long.

No but I played a lot of Don't Starve. So long as we find where the Beefalo are we'll be fine. And since we don't have Beefalo I got the next best thing which is deer. We just need to worry about spiders now.

I've been here a few months, and no one else seemed to have been here before then. Everyone is from about the same time or sooner.

[The reference is lost on her, but Rey can surmise what he means just fine from the wordplay alone.]
