[The feed cuts on to Gokudera in the kitchens, a bright smile on his face. He's wearing an apron and the air seems a bit smoky, but that's pretty standard for him.]

Takeshi I made you a gift!

Don't laugh... I know messed up on it a bit.

[The camera is tilted down on his device, and he's showing off a loaf of bread that is completely burnt on the outside. If he were to cut it on camera, then the lovely other folks inhabiting the dome would see that it's all but raw on the inside.]

It wasn't supposed to turn out so dark...

Well! I didn't make them the same! All of the loafs from this batch are dark!

This is just the best looking one...

[Some of the other loafs he made are so charred that they crumble a bit when touched and are black and gray. This one seems to have something pale beneath the cracks.]

[ Adoptable hitmen or not, it's fortunate that Starscream is still 2/10 on what constitutes edible human food because he would absolutely be scathing if he knew for sure. Thankfully his pride for not wanting to appear unintelligent means he'll give Gokudera the benefit of the doubt here. ]

If you say so. Given all the dreck you feed yourselves with, I can't say I'm entirely surprised...

It's not like we have many good foods to eat here in this dome.

[Gokudera grumbles, then looks down at his loaf. He's unimpressed, aggravated. Clearly it's burnt, and he really should have reached out for more help in this process. Guess there's a reason he's not usually allowed in kitchens.]

You're telling me that? I have to go out in that mess outside the dome and fetch my own every other week.

You know... I never actually considered it before. Probably because you’re one of a kind, but what do you eat?

[He didn’t mean to make any disrespectful assumptions with his complaining.]

Oh? I assumed Yamamoto would have mentioned it to you. I eat energon... harvested in crystal form, and I constructed a small convert here to refine it to an ingestible liquid.

At least the radiation outside of the dome cannot hurt you? Or can it? I don't want to make any assumptions, King.

True... I do not imagine it's a topic that would spontaneously come up.

The normal radiation, no. Not insofar as I am not out there long enough for it to be.

[ If he was forced out there all the time, that might be different. ]

But the radiation that comes with the red shifts, that is something else entirely...

Is it difficult for you to find energon... crystals? What do they look like? [Maybe if the next time he is outside of the dome, he can keep an eye out for some? That would be thoughtful.]

It's not like anything I've ever seen.

That crevice is the only place here I've seen it. The crystals are large and semi clear, blue, and they glow. Structurally, they resemble quartz in many ways.
