[He fiddles with the screen after he first appears for a moment. Once he has it set he gives a big thumbs up to the camera with a smile. Excuse the slightly sweaty teenager in his sword practice clothing. He has been training when he gets the chance.]

Yo, I'm Takeshi Yamamoto, are there any places good for sword training?

[He has been exploring but he misses the dojo where he usually trains. He has one more question but first, a sparrow who looks to be made of rain flutters around his head while a pup with three short swords with blades appearing rain made as well pops up to lick his face. He laughs.]

Oh, Jiro and Kojiro say hi too. Does anyone need any help with projects or jobs? [He would like to keep training but also get involved in helping around Anchor any way he can.]

Wonderful, now the new arrivals are coming in with their own vermin.

Every time I think this place can't put forward any worse standards, I am unpleasantly surprised to be proven wrong.

.............Amazing! What are you? [Excuse him because he is pretty sure he is staring at a robot unlike he has ever seen and that is pretty cool. He'll catch up to the conversation.]

Huh? Vermin? Oh, you mean these guys? They aren't vermin, they're my partners, they help me fight. [He is still smiling, no offense seems to be taken because he rolls like that. Instead, he pulls out a box. Flames dance along the ring on his finger and he inserts them into the box when it opens he issues a return command and both of his companions along with the unique short swords disappear inside.]

See, they won't cause any trouble.

[ Starscream does not appreciate being called a what, and the snarl he offers in response is pretty clear indication of that. The flashy disappearance of the companions and the swords does get a bit of a double-take from the mech, at least enough to take the edge off his ire. ]

... How did you do that?

[ Some kind of strange Deployer ability? Who knows... this place does summon all kinds. ]

[The mech is definitely welcome to correct the youth. He would offer a sheepish smile and apology in response. He is just in awe, this place has the most interesting people.]

With my dying will flames, the ring opens the box.

[They are his weapons but it is clear he has affection for them. He only put them away out of politeness as the responder does not seem fond of animals.]

[ He might, if it comes up again. Honestly Starscream is usually in a bad mood anyway. ]

... I didn't ask for a metaphor.

Huh? It's not. [Easier to show than explain, Gokudera could give the specifics, Yamamoto is not that tech-savvy himself.

He does not have the heart to let his companions out to only put them right back instead he takes his sword from his back, cloth falling away to show bamboo. Yamamoto's eyes go determined, he stances, flames starting on his ring as he flows into a graceful move with the blade it turns to steel, the flames licking their way to encase the blade. He holds the weapon in front of his face so it is visible. He seems almost a different person with his resolve brought to life visually this way.]

See, dying will flames.

[ Well that was new and unusual, and not anything like Starscream has ever seen before. How could a sword change composition like that? The wreathing fire reminds him partly of an ion-plasma weapon, but surely humans have nothing like that...? ]

"Dying will". You're not about to expire, are you?

[It can only do it with Yamamoto's style of sword fighting. Back home he has a bat that can turn into a sword too when he swings it inhumanely fast. He has a sword thing.

He laughs, the flames retreating, he drops back into a casual position the blade returning to bamboo as he does. The flames, well more people fight with those than just Yamamoto.]

Nope, the size of the flames is based on my resolve. It's like an extra weapon.

[ Humans. Unfathomable creatures, really. ]

Yes, well... I would advise caution in how you use that. You are in a colony with a sealed atmosphere, and most organics don't take kindly to fire in an oxygen-rich setting.

[Huh? His brain takes a few moments processing those words. He gets the gist of them and fixes the feed with a determined set to his features. If he understood it all he could explain that his flames won't start a fire.]

I'd never treat my weapons like toys and hurt someone.

[ It's not hard to see the ??? in Starscream's expression at the apparent non-sequitur. ]

What does—? No matter, not my concern.

[ He doesn't breath, so sustained atmosphere is less of a problem. He only brought it up because otherwise he'd have to listen to the caterwauling of the others if something happened. ]

[It's like a light switch off and on, gone is the serious look. Back comes the slightly puzzled looking teenager. He is getting lost here, never mind. Onward and upward, the only way to go.]

Huh? But you were the one who said, well what you said. [That was a lot of words man. He can't repeat them all] they won't hurt anyone unless I attack with them.

[Which without a really, really good reason, he won't.]

[ What a curious shift... Starscream's not sure what to make of the rapid changes in demeanor. ]

In that, you might actually find some interest. People here are generally spoiling for something to challenge them.

[ Or just looking to cause trouble *cough*Kabal*cough* ]

[They are par for the course with Yamamoto, though this chipper young man is usually the one everyone sees.]

I don't fight for fun. [He does not like violence, he is a hitman who tries his hardest not to kill his opponent after all.]

[He may use his blade on Kabal...someday when they meet face to face. That guy could piss him off for sure.]

[ amused: ] No constitution for it?

That's not it but fighting just to fight makes no sense. We fight to protect the people we love. [Back to that determined, young man. He is actually masterful in battle, it surprises everyone the first time. Because he has what should be called battle mode or baseball mode, basically when this kid gets serious, he gets "serious"]

Don't be absurd. The only reason to fight is to win. The trappings of that -- protection, conquest, revenge -- are all pointless if you don't succeed.

There's no point if we don't win. But fighting to protect those you love means you fight harder because you have a purpose.

Perhaps.

[ He doesn't necessarily agree, but he chooses not to argue the point. Undoubtedly his perspective is skewed by several million years of war, and conquest, and loss. ]

What other reason is there to fight?

[Really, he can think of no stronger motivation than the people in his heart.]

[ Starscream sounds... weary. ]

To make everything else worth it.

[Yamamoto still just sounds confused. He does not get it, without his friends, his dad, he wouldn't be alive. He needs them like most people need air, they give him his strength to be their sword.]

But, don't they make everything worth it?

[ Abruptly, Starscream does not like this line of conversation. He hangs up without another word. ]
