Do you ever really, really, really wish, someone was so dead you could just wipe them from your entire life? Like they never existed. And you could undo all the people that they hurt, too.

But they did exist. And you know it. And they made you what you are, and now... you don't know who you would be without them?

Yes.

[ so much so that some of what this person's said hits hard enough to hurt, but the good thing about having given away all his secrets on national television is that Finnick doesn't have to pretend otherwise anymore. ]

He'll get what he deserves. We can make them all get what they deserve but it can never change the people they've hurt.

[ Angel can share that comfort. It wasn't that long ago that she laughed herself mad in front of Kabal as she realized she was totally worthless as a person for the first time in her life. No one cared about her.

Or, well, they did. But not in the way that dictated her life so far. Blood and sad and money stained in both. Bullets for teeth and violence in their hands, and Angel was Angel in the biblical sense: a thousand eyes and a voice like multitudes, inhuman and terrifying. That killed on a scale that no person ought to be capable of.

And an impossibly weak, scared, dying little girl all alone. ]

That's not my fate. I left that to the people I care about, even if it... It sucks sometimes, knowing I'll never see him pay for what he did. But I suppose I can take comfort in knowing I paid for what I did too.

I hope you do though. See whoever it is pay. I do... I do wonder what that might feel like.

I'm sorry. People shouldn't have to know what that feels like, to be hurt so much by somebody that it makes you who you are. I hope your friends can make whoever did that to you pay for it.

[ Stripping all of Snow's secrets bare and laying them out for the nation had felt ... good. Raw and painful because of what he'd gone through to get them, anxious because of his fear for Annie, but still good, a scouring of some of the deep-down hurt from all Snow had taken from him.

But it wasn't enough, will not be enough until Snow is dead like all the people he'd murdered, until the Capitol is overthrown and the war is won, this time for the good of the whole nation and not just the Capitol. ]

I spent years thinking I'd never get the chance, collecting whatever information I could that I could use to hurt him. And I did hurt him. But it will take more than that to make him pay. Before I came here, it was really starting to look like we could.
