Yes, I noticed the same.

It makes sense for the technology to be intuitive when your population is from so many different times and places, it can't be too specific, or archaic, for people to contribute in any truly helpful way.

I've heard the means for creating livestock and produce exist, if we can figure out how to utilize the laboratories. There is a means of sustainable food, at the very least, so long as we're willing to get our hands dirty.
