[Peter's been trying to be better at taking advice lately. He hasn't been very good about it when it comes to people telling him to slow down for fuck's sake, but in other ways, he's gotten better. When Patch had suggested he dumb down his scientific talk for other people he'd listened, and had been able to explain a few things to Kieran the literal cowboy by following that advice. This falls in the same category of hey-idiot-learn-to-communicate-better, and that is something he at least thinks he's improving on.

Yeah man, I just- I just went for it, and totally beefed it. Like brave, maybe? Stupid, absolutely. I can't remember the last time I was so embarrassed, oh my God. So then I'm just standing there in this pool, fully clothed, looking like the biggest, soggiest dipshit who has ever lived.
